Nablus, Palestine – Emergenza Sorrisi, in partnership with An-Najah National University, successfully organized a specialized medical webinar titled “Maxillofacial Surgery: Lip Cleft Palate Webinar,” the participation of more than 120 attendees via Zoom, in addition to over 70 students and lecturers from the Faculty of Dentistry who attended in person
The event was officially opened by Dr. Nabil Massa’d, Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry at An-Najah National University, who welcomed participants and underscored the importance of such scientific initiatives in enhancing the skills of healthcare professionals and promoting knowledge exchange. He also highlighted the vital role of international partnerships in advancing healthcare education and services in Palestine.
Mr. Imad Hussein, Representative of Emergenza Sorrisi in Palestine, reaffirmed the organization’s strong commitment to working in partnership with local health institutions—both public and private—and in close collaboration with universities to support the development of the healthcare sector and strengthen its resilience. He emphasized that these partnerships aim to improve the quality and accessibility of healthcare services, ensuring that all citizens can access care as a fundamental human right.
The webinar provided an advanced scientific platform addressing key topics in maxillofacial surgery, including cleft rhinoplasty, temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders in cleft patients, multidisciplinary approaches to maxillofacial surgery, orthognathic surgery in cleft palate patients, and maxillary deficiency management.
An interactive question-and-answer session allowed participants to engage directly with leading experts and exchange knowledge and professional experiences.
