On the Occasion of Pink October: Conclusion of the Free Medical Day for Women at the Shaab Medical

Askar New Camp – As part of its humanitarian mission, Emergenza Sorrisi – Doctors for Smiling Children, in cooperation with local partners, concluded on Thursday, 23 October 2025, the activities of the Free Medical Day for Women. The event was organized by Al-Shaab Medical Clinic on the occasion of Pink October, the Breast Cancer Awareness Month, in partnership with Askar Association for Community Development and the Popular Committee for Services of Askar New Camp, with remarkable attendance and strong engagement from women in the area.

This activities implemented under the project , strengthening medical and health resilience in Palestine (AID 12273/1/2) Funded by Italian agency for development corporation (AICS) AND ITALIAN MINISTRY OF FRIEND AFFAIRS AND INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION

The medical day featured a group of specialized doctors, including:
👩‍⚕️ Dr. Aisha Al-Sakhel – Gynecologist
👩‍⚕️ Dr. Alaa Hassan – Radiology Specialist

During the event, a range of free medical services was provided, including:
💗 Comprehensive gynecological examinations
💗 Early breast cancer screening using imaging techniques
💗 Follow-up examinations and health guidance

This initiative came in cooperation with the supporting partners, emphasizing the importance of early detection in preventing breast cancer and raising women’s awareness about the importance of taking care of their health.

Many participants expressed their gratitude for this humanitarian initiative, which gave them the opportunity to check on their health in a comfortable and supportive environment, praising the role of the partners, especially Doctors for Smiling Children Association, in the success of this medical day.

At the conclusion of the day, the People’s Medical Center extended its thanks to all partners and supporters who contributed to the success of this event, reaffirming its commitment to organizing similar medical days to serve the local community.
